How long of a Trip do we need?
It depends on what you want to try and catch? In general, the longer the trip the better. The
rule of thumb is: "however long of a trip you are on, you will spend
½ of that time with lines in the water and the other half coming
and going, as well as moving around during the day.
The thing to keep in mind is that we cannot get to the same fishing
grounds in an 8hr trip that we can in a 12-hour trip. "It makes
a big difference having that 10 to 12 hr trip to work with. It can
make for truly awesome days in the Gulf."
Also if the fishing is slow it gives us the extra time to relocate
to a totally different area."
Sometimes we have to work very hard to catch what we want. We have to fish lots of places and make every bite we get count. Other times it just comes so easy and it seems you can do no wrong. (It's just like fishing?) If they are not biting where we are at, its time to go!" Keep moving until we find them biting, and then hopefully our anglers will capitalize on the bites once we find them."
This is where the right attitude comes
in to play. The crew of the Fish N Fool is not scared to drive wherever
they feel they need to get the job done. Keep going until you get
them or run out of time. "Get the job done no matter what it takes."
This is a crew that wants to catch their customers some fish and
is going to work hard to make it happen.
No matter what length of trip we do- we are going to plan our day to have the best trip in the time we are allotted, while giving it 110%.
"We fish till we can't fish anymore, and then we come home."
